Role Overview

Grupo Data is seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Management department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Geospatial Risk Management (GRM) system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs and propose technical solutions to answer the need
  • Investigate and resolve issues, proposing workarounds and implementing corrections
  • Participate in operational committees with GRM team members
  • Develop, test, deploy, and document solutions in accordance with AGO guidelines
  • Ensure maintenance of existing applications
  • Collaborate with architecture and security teams for new implementation definition
  • Support users

Requirements

  • Experience with software development, particularly in geoanalytics and ArcGIS
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Python
  • Strong knowledge of security and implementation of security in IT applications and infrastructures
  • Experience with large volume and optimization
  • Rigor and excellent level in algorithmics
  • Good experience in using APIs
  • Good knowledge of cloud frameworks
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud
  • Good experience in developing CI/CD pipelines
  • SQL
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile and DevOps methodologies

Education and Experience

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with a minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid model: 2x a week in Lisbon.
