Job OverviewAs a Scrum Master at Planet, you will drive Agile practices and methodologies, ensuring teams deliver high-quality products efficiently. Your primary responsibility is to coach and guide cross-functional teams through the Scrum framework, fostering a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing environment.
You will remove obstacles, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and ensure teams adhere to Agile principles to achieve successful project outcomes. In this role, you will work closely with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, focusing on continuous improvement and maximizing value delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to keep the team focused and productive.
- Proactively identify and resolve obstacles or blockers that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Coach and mentor teams in understanding Agile principles and Scrum practices, helping them to self-organize and perform at their highest potential.
- Protect the team from external distractions and unplanned work, ensuring they can focus on sprint goals.
- Foster collaboration between team members and stakeholders, promoting a healthy, cooperative team dynamic.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of managing Agile teams, preferably in the payments or financial services industry.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM): Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, with certification from a recognized body.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other tools used for tracking sprint progress and team performance.
