At Darkroom, we're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our video editing team as an Associate Director. With a strong background in video production and management experience, you'll oversee a team of 4+ Video Editors, ensuring high-quality output and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 4+ Video Editors and provide guidance on advanced motion and editing techniques.
- Conduct weekly 1:1s with direct reports to assess client health, provide project feedback, and assist in managing client relationships.
- Lead creative engagements as needed, focusing on the design-to-editing pipeline, art directing and editing high-quality video content for paid advertisements, organic social media, and other formats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, understand business objectives, and address client issues.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of senior-level video editing experience, with at least 1 year of people management experience preferred.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator) is required.
- Proficiency in Figma for storyboarding is essential.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills with the ability to manage deliverables across an array of brands and timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
