Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Sensei. As a key member of our data team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that drive our data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities and Expectations:- You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and build data models that support Data Science, Business Intelligence, and downstream data sets.
- You will develop and maintain APIs and data products to better integrate data throughout our systems and processes.
- You will monitor the data pipelines and communicate any issues to leadership and partners.
- You will work closely with business partners and developers to ensure proper requirements are documented and agreed to for our different initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Data Quality Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and SQL-like query languages.
- Deep expertise in Python programming and experience organizing Python-based projects.
- Vast experience with Snowflake and other cloud-based data platforms.
- Vast experience with ETL and ELT processes.
- Experience with Cloud AWS and its services.
- Experience with Data BuildTool - DBT.
- A strong understanding of different data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
