About the Role

">

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Engineer - Platform to join our team in Lisbon. As a key member of our App Experience team, you will play a crucial role in creating and implementing a new design system and component library, driving innovation and scalability across our platform.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop a robust design system and component library, used by multiple product development teams.
  • Design and architect flexible platform building blocks, incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams.
  • Develop secure, reliable, and scalable frontend components and libraries, ensuring excellent user experience and developer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with engineers across teams to identify and address technical challenges, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Curate the frontend design system and component library, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
  • Implement frontend architecture patterns that scale across the engineering organization, enhancing user and developer experiences.
  • Write unit and integration tests, ensuring high-quality code and reliability.
  • Lead projects and initiatives, championing accessibility and usability in our component library.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 6+ years of experience in building and managing web applications using modern component-based frameworks.
  • Experience in building npm packages, including bundling and distribution.
  • Familiarity with React and NodeJS/bundling tools.
  • In-depth understanding of modern styling techniques, including CSS-in-JS frameworks and CSS modules.
  • Knowledge of core frontend engineering concepts (state management, performance, accessibility, styling, infrastructure).
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotations and address production issues as needed.

Benefits and Perks

PagerDuty offers a competitive salary range based on location and experience: €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on your qualifications. This role also includes a flexible hybrid workplace setup, with regular office days in Lisbon.
