We are seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Phiture. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving our security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the security of our infrastructure and product deployments, as well as to the wider open source ecosystem.
About the RoleThis position involves building on our existing security capabilities to create new levels of assurance and observable rigour in the open source supply chain. You will work closely with our CISO to develop and implement technical security controls that ensure security threats are automatically identified, contained, and remediated.
Responsibilities- Design and implement security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies that meet or exceed industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain technical security controls, including incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures
- Contribute to the development of Canonical product security, improving the resilience and robustness of all Ubuntu customers and users subject to cyber attack
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in cybersecurity engineering, with experience in designing and implementing security solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with open-source technologies and the ability to contribute to their development
