Additionally, they will have 2+ years of experience managing small software teams, and a solid grasp of security best practices related to APIs and data privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead small software teams and ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications using the latest technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Agile practices and improve workflow
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tech advancements, and best practices to enhance the team's workflow
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development with expertise in the latest editions, including Spring Boot
- 2+ years of experience managing small software teams
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow, IaC, deployment patterns, and code quality tools
- Extensive knowledge of AWS, Micro services architecture, design patterns, and proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid grasp of security best practices related to APIs and data privacy
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a commitment to driving Agile practices within the team
- Keen on staying current with industry trends, tech advancements, and best practices to enhance the team's workflow
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Experience in frontend technologies like React.js or Angular is a strong plus
- Domain Knowledge of EU Market Abuse Regulation and EU Whistleblowing Directive is a Plus
