As a Monitoring Engineer at Convatec Inc., you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our organization's IT infrastructure and services. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain monitoring systems that track the health and performance of our systems, applications, and network components.

We're looking for a team player, willing to collaborate and learn in a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently with high self-motivation. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing monitoring solutions to track the performance and availability of servers, databases, and other critical infrastructure components.
• Managing network monitoring tools to track the status and performance of network devices.
• Monitoring the performance of software applications to identify issues that could affect end-user experience. Collaborating with application development teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Defining, configuring, and maintaining alerting thresholds and notification to promptly identify and address issues.
• Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards that provide insights into system performance and trends.
• Providing training and guidance to teams on the best proper use of monitoring tools and best practices.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of IT systems and ensure all infrastructure are covered.
• Maintaining documentation related to monitoring configurations and procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone with a curious and analytical mindset, who enjoys learning and working with a variety of technologies and systems. Proficiency in using monitoring tools and frameworks is a must. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are also essential. Ability to work as part of an international team, as well as being part of a local market team, is a plus. Bonus points for knowledge in Ansible. Strong bias for action and ownership, as well as strong communication and team collaboration skills, both written and verbal, are required. Language Skills English – Fluent. Portuguese (if not a native speaker). Other languages can be a plus.
