We are currently seeking a highly skilled Settlement Claims Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and exhaustiveness of detection, payment, and receipt of interest resulting from late settlements. This will involve daily integration, verification, and detection of claims folders opened after late settlement, as well as booking of claims received and paid from and to external counterparties.
You will also be responsible for performing first-level control of the claims legitimacy, sending claim letters to counterparties within 60 days, and chasing for payments. Additionally, you will interact with Back Offices and Counterparties for claim status progression, update databases constantly, generate swift payments, and follow up on cash breaks.
Impact the interest claims on the trading portfolio and propose new developments or improvement in the existing chain to secure the processes and reduce the operational risk. Formalize team procedures and operating guides. A bachelor's degree in economics, finance, and/or accounting and up to 2 years of professional experience in accounting or finance are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fluency in English are also essential.
