Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Incident Response Trainee will contribute to the analysis that helps our Client defend against ever-evolving cyber threats. This role involves working with all cybersecurity departments to analyze multiple artifacts, investigating and responding to cyber incidents, and staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends.

Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with our cybersecurity teams in analyzing various security-related data sources, such as network traffic logs and IDS alerts, to identify potential security threats.
  • Investigate, analyze, and respond to cyber incidents within our environment or enclave, utilizing your problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Use data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., firewalls, network traffic logs), and host analysis to stay one step ahead of emerging threats.
  • Analyze events that occur within our environments for the purposes of mitigating threats and ensuring business continuity.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across a wide variety of all-source data sets, including open-source intelligence, to identify potential security risks.
  • Proactively search for Behaviors of Compromise and Enablers of Compromise throughout our Client's tools/data sets and enterprise, using your analytical skills to uncover hidden threats.
  • Ability to conduct Open-Source research regarding threats to our enterprise, and Indicators Of Compromise (IOC) of an event, staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends.
Qualifications
  • A University Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related majors is required.
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory.
  • A strong interest in Cybersecurity and a broad knowledge of security-related controls (e.g. firewalls, anti-malware, security monitoring or data encryption) are essential.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Outsystems, etc.) and strong skills in terms of analysis, attention to detail, problem solving, and prioritization of tasks are also required.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, organization, and responsibility are necessary for this role.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, curious, and willing to learn, you should be ready to take on new challenges and grow with our team.
