We are a leading company within the test and measurement industry, seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team in India or Porto, Portugal.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled software developer to contribute to the extension of our mature application, focusing on data acquisition and related aspects, as well as participate in extending the OpenDAQ SDK.

You will be part of a global R&D team supporting HBM Genesis High Speed, LanXi, and Fusion products, which contribute to various applications across technology sectors such as Automotive, Electric Drives & Generator, Aerospace, Energy / High-Voltage, Material Testing, and Service.

Your responsibilities will include setting up software designs, implementing code, and testing the overall system in close collaboration with hardware and testing teams.

Key areas of focus:

  • Creation of new features in the existing architecture
  • Contribution to architectural improvements
  • Maintenance of the function domain and technology roadmap
  • Coaching colleagues

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 5-7 years' experience in software development, preferably on the Windows platform
  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering or Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • Experience in object-oriented programming (C++ and C#)
  • Knowledge of multi-threading
  • Familiarity with agile working methods
  • Potential to act as Scrum Master
