About the Role:
Our client, a multinational group in the renewable energy sector, is currently looking for a Financial Accountant to integrate their financial department, located in Lisbon City Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting for all Portuguese legal entities, preparing monthly financial statements, and performing intercompany accounting and reconciliation. Additionally, the Financial Accountant will control and manage Fixed Assets capitalization and depreciation, collaborate with the financial team to ensure a timely and clean year-end audit, and communicate with lawyers, notaries, and other professionals. The successful candidate will also possess general fiscal and tax compliance knowledge for tax preparation, prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports to Portuguese Tax Authorities, and perform treasury accounting reconciliations and manage cash flow. A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or similar, and professional experience of 3-5 years in Accounting with a demonstrated familiarity with accounting principles and corporate taxation and reporting are required. Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is mandatory, and Spanish is a plus. Experience managing Tax issues, MS Office, and ERP systems, such as Dynamics Navision, is necessary. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills, this position may be a good fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
