Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to join our dynamic team working in a microservices-based environment framework. As a Release Manager, you will play a critical role in managing, coordinating, and overseeing the release of new software versions, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and of the highest quality. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and have experience working in a fast-paced agile environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Release Planning and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and schedule deployments/releases.
  • Manage the release calendar and ensure coordination across teams to avoid conflicts or delays.
  • Evaluate deployment procedures in cloud or containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Establish rollback procedures for microservices in cloud or containerized environments.
  • Create and maintain release notes and documentation.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding release schedules, status updates, and blockers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess strong experience as a Release Manager in a microservices environment, knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, and cloud services. Familiarity with Git, Jira, and other collaboration tools is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and proactive attitude are essential. Additionally, certifications such as Release Management Certifications (ITIL) or cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure) are valuable assets.
