We are seeking a highly skilled Sap Basis Operations Specialist to join our team at Alter Solutions Group.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a talented professional to take on a key role in our infrastructure operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first and second level support for all system lines, collaborating with internal customers to resolve technical issues, and implementing tasks such as SAP installations, upgrades, and changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to internal customers, analyzing issues in a well-standardized and automated environment.
  • Implement tasks such as SAP installations, upgrades, tech refreshes, and further changes in alliance with customers.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, communicating effectively to ensure seamless collaboration.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in high-security data centers, with expertise in network architecture and configuration (VPC, subnet, IP ranges, security groups, routing tables, gateways, VPN, etc.).
  • Knowledge of standard IT processes in large companies, such as ITIL.
  • Proficiency in Linux (preferably SLES) and knowledge of system, namespaces, cgroups, and SElinux.
  • Well-versed in SAN, NAS storage, backup/restore, and cloud vendors like AWS or Azure.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in coding (preferably Ansible and Python), MS-Office, HANA Studio/Cockpit, Putty, and Sapgui will be given preference.

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on national averages and may vary depending on location.
