About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Principal Engineer Artificial Intelligence to join our Business Excellence Department. As a Lead AI Innovation Strategist, you will be responsible for guiding and driving strategic architecture decisions that shape the future of AI at Infineon.
You will stay at the cutting-edge of AI technologies, identifying opportunities and maturity, and translating cutting-edge technology innovations into viable, value-generating use cases. Your expertise will ensure alignment with business goals and user needs through collaboration with stakeholders across different organizations and functions.
In this role, you will also be responsible for ensuring the availability and evolution of state-of-the-art AI stacks (including GenAI), MLOps, and Governance platforms. You will drive and coordinate requirements and AI architecture definition while providing user guidance aligned with business needs.
As a mentor, knowledge sharer, and fosterer of AI talents, you will bring industry experience and best practices to our data scientist community. You will guide and inspire them, fostering an environment of collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence.
Your ability to build and maintain a network of experts within Infineon and our larger ecosystem will be essential in tackling the toughest challenges with analytical prowess, innovative thinking, and a deep understanding of the AI landscape and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will champion the responsible use of AI, ensuring our solutions are ethical, transparent, and fair. You will support our responsible AI office with expert advice to support continuous improvement and ensure that IFX stands out as a quality leader.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Computer Science or Data Science or similar, along with 10+ years of relevant professional experience in the field of Data and AI, preferably with knowledge of semiconductor design and production, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.
Outstanding knowledge and experience in Data Science and MLOps in the fields of ML/DL, Generative AI are required, along with extensive expertise in leveraging GenAI for enhancing efficiency and fundamental innovation, applying AI and machine learning in high-tech semiconductor production, utilizing AI and ML for improving quality, or specializing in EdgeAI and TinyML for IoT and embedded applications.
A proven track record of implementing ML/DL in productive environments at scale is necessary, along with the ability to quickly comprehend complex interrelations, structure them, and motivate others while building networks. Excellent communication skills in English and German are also essential.
