Banquet Captain

About the Role:

The Banquet Captain will be responsible for overseeing the set-up and service of banquets, ensuring that every detail is perfect and every guest has an exceptional experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the set-up of banquets, including checking the physical layout of the room and providing servers with the necessary information.
• Ensure the success of banquets by monitoring staff adherence to service rules and addressing any issues that may arise.
• Meet with individual hosts to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional service.
• Close all banquet checks and complete the Captain's log book at the completion of each function.
• Oversee the clean-up of banquets and ensure the proper removal and storage of hotel linen and skirting.
• Report any incidents to the Banquet Manager.
• Assist the Banquet Manager in the annual performance evaluation of banquet servers.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.

Requirements:

• Experience in all aspects of banquet service.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of computer equipment and ability to operate it.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• EU citizenship required.
