Enterprise Security Solutions Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Security & Compliance Solutions Architect to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end cloud-based solutions that prioritize security and compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the security and compliance practice, as well as the respective strategy, toolbelt, and reference architecture embedded into each digital services solution.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, process management, engineering, and operations teams, to align the architecture with current and future product and cloud offerings. Your ability to lead and coordinate operational tasks, escalations, and process improvements will be invaluable in driving customer and partner excellence.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who possesses a deep understanding of compliance tooling and security engineering, with a strong background in IT solutions architecture and a proven track record of experience working as a solution architect in consulting or close to customers. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP CX, SAP Commerce, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is highly desirable. Additionally, your ability to communicate effectively in English and stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends will enable you to bring innovative solutions to the table.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, validate, and implement security and compliance strategy, toolbelt, and reference architectures for usage in SAP's digital services.
  • Take ownership for designing architectures across end-to-end processes, ensuring readiness for implementation with stakeholder and engineering teams.
  • Develop target and transition solution architecture blueprints to guide project implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business/process experts and global stakeholders up to the executive level.
  • Innovation Roadmaps: Define technical roadmap items for innovation adoption with subject matter experts and ensure continuous evolution of the architecture.
  • Business Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and support development teams in executing architectural blueprints, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Architecture Review and Integration: Conduct architecture reviews to maintain adherence to industry standards.
  • Develop integration designs for seamless connectivity between SAP Cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Governance and Approvals: Prepare materials and submit proposals through architecture governance boards for approvals.
  • Strategic Support: Support management in shaping strategic directions for project solutions and customer engagement.
  • Technology and Industry Awareness: Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, SAP advancements, and industry trends to incorporate best practices into solutions.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with architectural decisions and cloud migrations.

Requirements:

  • Deep Experience Compliance tooling and security Engineering focusing not on governance, but on enabling secure and compliant engineering with the teams.
  • Experience in architecture modeling, software development, and programming.
  • Background in IT solutions architecture with a strong understanding of SAP solution portfolios and key methodologies for efficient deployment and operation.
  • Experience working as a solution architect in consulting or close to customers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP CX, SAP Commerce, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is highly desirable.
  • Lifecycle Experience: Ideally, experience across the full lifecycle from idea to market, with a focus on integration technologies and end-to-end process chains.
  • Leadership and Coordination Skills: Ability to own, lead, and coordinate operational tasks, escalations, and process improvements.
  • Collaboration Focus: Experience in aligning delivery architecture with enterprise architecture teams and working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Salary: We estimate the salary range for this position to be around $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
