The Role

As a Treasury Associate, you will be part of the Financial Planning and Reporting team within the Finance department, playing a pivotal role in overseeing the company's financial health while reporting to the Finance Director. Your responsibilities will include managing cash flow, building relationships with banks, executing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a cash pooling strategy in collaboration with other finance teams to minimize risk and optimize transfers;
  • Establish internal policies and procedures to control treasury activities and process payments and receivables efficiently;
  • Work with other finance departments to design a strategy for more efficient payments and structures to minimize cash position;
  • Analyze weekly and monthly cash outflows and inflows to achieve a daily cash flow projection;
  • Arrange for payment collection from debtors and make bank payments accurately;
  • Review invoices for payment;
  • Monitor expenses and current account staff reconciliations;
  • Control overdraft accounts and other short-term financing instruments;
  • Monitor the global cash position using reporting skills;
  • Collaborate with accounting on bank reconciliations;
  • Maintain banking relationships.

Requirements

  • Degree in Management, Accounting, Economics, or Auditing;
  • 3+ years of relevant experience;
  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Good problem-solving skills;
  • Good team-work skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Knowledge of how to handle confidential information;
  • Fluent in English (mandatory);
  • Fluency in Portuguese, German, Italian, or French is valued.
