Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems in the public cloud.
- Scaling systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolving systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
- Improving and maintaining monitoring and logging solutions that measure availability, latency, and overall system health of production systems.
- Provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure through automation and infrastructure as code.
- Restoring healthy operation of applications and services through sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
- Following and monitoring security and compliance best practices.
About You
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong background in software engineering and/or IT operations and infrastructure experience. Required skills and qualifications include:
- Ability to program with one or more high-level languages, such as Typescript or Python.
- Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code knowledge, including CloudFormation or Ansible.
- Monitoring and Alerting tools expertise, such as AWS Cloudwatch or New Relic.
- The ability to gather and analyze metrics to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or three to four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of software engineering and/or IT operations and infrastructure experience preferred.
