About the Role
  1. Data pipeline design: creating scalable data pipelines on the Azure cloud platform using various tools and technologies.
  2. Data processing and transformation: leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and other Azure tools to process and transform large datasets efficiently.
  3. Spark-based solutions: implementing and managing Spark-based data processing solutions for optimal performance and scalability.
  4. Data storage and sharing: working with Snowflake for secure data storage, data sharing, and performance optimization.
  5. Collaboration and delivery: collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  6. Workflow optimization: optimizing and fine-tuning data workflows to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
  7. Leadership and mentoring: providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior data engineers.
What We're Looking For
  1. Azure expertise: proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Azure cloud technologies.
  2. Azure toolset: hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Azure SQL.
  3. Spark and Snowflake: deep knowledge of Spark and Snowflake (including architecture, optimization, and performance tuning).
  4. Data modeling and ETL: strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  5. Programming skills: expertise in SQL, Python, or similar programming languages.
  6. Big data expertise: solid experience with big data technologies and distributed computing.
  7. Problem-solving skills: excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  8. Communication skills: strong communication and collaboration abilities.
