About the Role
The Insurance Data Insights Expert will work closely with the Group Claims Data and Insights Manager to provide in-depth analysis across our diverse portfolio. This involves building and maintaining Machine Learning models on the Group Claims Data Platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing analytical models on the cloud data platform following best practices for end-to-end model lifecycle.
- Maintaining a continual feedback loop with claims, underwriters, and actuaries on segmentation/trend analysis and portfolio monitoring and optimisation.
- Creating and maintaining analytical model related documentation, including solution design documentation and feature engineering design.
- Managing and delivering ad-hoc analytics requests from business stakeholders.
Technical Ability
A deep understanding of data science, analytics platforms/ML domains, especially GenAI and NLP is required. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with common ML libraries such as Hugging Face, XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
SME knowledge of technology architectures & processes involved in the modelling of data is also essential. Strong coding experience in Python, in a data science context, and a good grounding in SQL are necessary.
The ideal candidate will be able to suggest and implement innovative data solutions to meet user requirements, continuously research best practices to optimize existing processes and develop innovative data-based solutions in the data science space.
