We are seeking an experienced Storage System Administrator to join our team at GrabJobs. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and operating our storage and backup infrastructure, both on-premises and in the public cloud.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate storage and backup infrastructure, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and high availability.
- Develop and implement new storage and backup solutions, improving overall efficiency and reducing costs.
- Serve as a technical interface between teams, ensuring that new requirements are implemented and met.
- Support colleagues in implementing storage and backup concepts, providing expert guidance and assistance.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver various projects and sub-projects, driving automation and innovation.
- Play an active role in business continuity management (BCM), ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT generalist, with expertise in Linux or Windows and willingness to learn other operating systems.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, including M365, SAP HANA, RDS, K8S, virtualization, LAN, firewalls, MS, MySQL, NAS, ObjectStore, etc.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to express yourself clearly at different levels.
- Reliability, flexibility, and teamwork, with willingness to work on-call duties.
Education and Language Skills:
- Higher degree in computer science or business informatics (university of applied sciences).
- English oral and written proficiency, with optional German, French, or Italian language skills.
