ABOUT THE ROLE The Procurement Director will lead the global procurement function, driving strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives. This role requires a visionary leader who can align procurement strategies with corporate objectives, ensure compliance, and foster strong supplier partnerships. The Procurement Director will oversee a team of procurement professionals and collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Leadership : Define and implement global procurement strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation. Supplier Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and innovation. Cost Optimization : Drive initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership, optimize spend, and identify alternative sourcing opportunities. Governance & Compliance : Establish and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards across all regions. Team Development : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement : Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions that support growth and profitability. Data-Driven Decisions : Utilize analytics and reporting to monitor performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making. Finance Collaboration : Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and alignment of procurement activities with financial objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) preferred. 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing global teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in English (additional languages a plus).
