We’re now looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Lisbon. This role offers the opportunity to develop your accounting skills in an international EdTech and SaaS environment, working closely with colleagues across the business in a supportive and structured setting. The role As a Junior Accountant at Inspera, you will contribute to the accuracy, quality, and reliability of our financial operations. You’ll work across multiple entities and support both day-to-day accounting activities and month-end processes, while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting month-end closing activities , including reconciliations and journal entries Preparing and maintaining financial records in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Contributing to accounting activities across all Inspera entities Acting as a primary point of contact for accounting-related topics , ensuring clear communication with finance colleagues, internal cost centres, and suppliers Supporting external audits by providing accurate documentation and timely assistance Processing accounts payable , including employee expenses and purchase order matching Maintaining supplier spend lists and ensuring correct coding to suppliers and departments Managing payment processing and cash management to ensure timely and accurate payments Uploading and reconciling multiple bank accounts and transactions Assisting with ad hoc projects , contributing flexibility and problem-solving skills Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency within accounting workflows Keeping up to date with accounting principles, industry developments, and best practices What you bring We’re looking for someone who values accuracy, responsibility, and collaboration. Ideally, you’ll have: A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of accounting experience , preferably including month-end close or accounts payable Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (Xero and Dext are an advantage) A structured, detail-oriented approach with strong analytical skills A proactive mindset and a clear sense of ownership The ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in EdTech or SaaS (preferred) CPA or another relevant certification (welcome, but not required) Why Inspera?
