We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Procurement Intern. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management within a dynamic business environment. As an intern, you will work closely with our procurement team to support various aspects of the procurement process and contribute to the efficient sourcing and management of goods and services.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive bids for goods and services.
- Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts and terms with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring to ensure quality and compliance.
- Help maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, invoices, and vendor information.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the procurement manager.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with procurement software/tools.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Previous internship or course work in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields is a plus but not required.
- Eligible for IEFP's ATIVAR internship
