Regression errors found early are in general easier to fix than errors found late." **Team**: You will be part of a team, collocated in Portugal (Braga), developing and maintaining our test suite and test infrastructure for different SW products. This team is using agile methods and will transition into SAFe framework in the future. We have a digital team board to highlight our successes but also our technical debt. **Typical day**:You will interact with different people from different backgrounds (Germany, India, Malaysia, China,...) in order to solve SW automation challenges while maintaining a good work-life balance with flexible working schedules. Depending on if you are an early bird or not, most probably your day will start with coffee, or tea or just be with your teammates while they are having some. Follow up with the team's daily meeting where we share our blockers, our progress and we plan how the upcoming day will look like. In between, we will have lunch, breaks and lots of fun. Sometimes there are some cakes around, which you are always welcome to take. **Tasks**: - Maintaining the operation of several thousand lines of test code; - Reviewing existing test code base: Can it be automated? If not, coordinate refactoring efforts to create test code that can be automated; - Automating tests; - Reviewing manual tests: Can they be automated? If yes, coordinate the efforts to automate them; - Enable developers to create their own automated tests; - Report to project and stakeholders on the status of test automation; - Get into new test automation tools as needed; - Keep up-to-date with concepts for test automation; **Performance goals**: At the end of the first three months, you should be able to work autonomously and execute production diagnosis tests. By the end of the first 6 months, we expect that you are able to take ownership in projects and while you are able to setup new test stations and contribute for the tests specification. We will be with you along the way and we will provide the technical training that fits your job needs. **Qualifications**: **Personality**: - Quality driven mind - Likes it when the development process runs smoothly, especially in regard to testing - Enable others to do continue test automation - Change, improve, adapt, learn" **Working method**: Structured and well organized, able to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision involvement balancing company values and customer values; **Experience**:You have significant experience in Microcontroller Software development and debugging in agile environment; Solid experience in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and/or software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
