**About the role**
- The **Procurement and Sourcing Lead** is responsible for executing the procurement strategy within the EMEA region. This role ensures that all purchases adhere to policies and standard procurement processes, including the proper use of supporting systems (SAP). Additionally, the lead oversees end-to-end procurement activities, encompassing the development and implementation of the procurement strategy.

**What you will be doing**
- Analyses data and engage stakeholders (internal and external) to quantify and validate opportunities and risks.
- Conducts analysis of spend to understand business trends and opportunities to improve procurement effectiveness and efficiency.
- Prepares material to workshop strategies and plans.
- Tracks and progresses against the strategic category plans and procurement targets.
- Validates findings and recommendations.
- Supports leadership team to develop executive papers and stakeholder business cases for strategic initiatives.
- Conducts regular opportunity assessments to define new procurement strategies.
- Assists in develop of work plans to implement agreed strategies.
- Assists Supplier Performance Management.
- Leads specific projects across the procurement team.
- Supports development of a comprehensive, updated Sourcing Strategy that delivers the best financial outcome for Orica.
- Maintains accurate database of suppliers, execution dates and key stakeholders.
- Works as a team with Contracts Management and Supplier Management in overall category strategy delivery.
- Assists in communication of changes to sourcing to the business.
- Works with team to report on supplier performance against service levels and key performance indicators.
- Supports the resolution of supply chain risk events.
- Operationalises the global strategy within the region and site teams.
- Executes end to end sourcing activities.
- Identifies opportunities and implement initiatives to maximise the effectiveness of the sourcing strategy with respect to capital expenditure, sustenance capital and operating expenditure across the region.
- Ensures compliance with Orica’s policies and governance.
- Owns all audit queries and reviewing existing audit processes.
- Improves overall regional competitiveness by reducing Total Cost of Ownership while at the same time ensuring security of supply and reliability.
- Fosters an environment of working together with Orica key stakeholder’s functions to deliver the best overall outcome for the business.
- Drives continuous improvement and innovation solutions with key suppliers.

**What you will bring**
- Minimum 8 years’ experience post professional qualification, including 5 years of direct people management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience in mining or structural industries is highly desirable.
- Exposure to international projects within a global company is advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstreams.
- Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable.
- Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor relationships.
- Proficient in SAP, Excel, Power Point and Power BI.
