**What’s the role about?**

The Accountant is part of the General Accounting Team will report directly to a Senior.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the General Ledger and financial statements. This includes performing month-end activities, calculating and posting journals (including accruals), GL account reconciliations, reviewing and analysing the General Ledger.

**What you'll do?**

The Accountant will be required to execute the following responsibilities:

- Perform general accounting support and month end tasks
- Review and analyse information from the general ledger and other accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness, and take corrective action, as appropriate
- Address audit enquiries / investigation
- Perform daily accounting tasks and the processing journal entries
- Execute period-end accounting entries by posting manual journal entries and processing recharges (e.g., accruals, currency conversions, etc.)
- Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Support in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Support in the preparation of month-end and year-end close processes
- Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability
- Support with project related activities

**What are we looking for?**
- BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
- Proven experience as an accountant
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Strong financial, analytical and communication skills
- Self-organisation and time management
- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of ERP systems, processes and workflow technology
