**Accountabilities**:
As an Operations Senior Manager, you'll direct the efforts of specialists within the External Funding team, ensuring the function is fully operational and compliant. You'll oversee the creation and execution of services/operational plan for External Funding and ensure strong governance of activities. You'll also be responsible for customer relationship management, policy interpretation, decision rationale, and implementation. Additionally, you'll provide leadership to the team, manage performance assessment, career development, and have input into the function’s operational budget.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Extensive/previous operations/service center management experience
- Ability to lead a team while developing a standard global approach to processing
- Global (across multiple countries) People Management experience
- Expertise in Medical Education grants, sponsorships, donations, contributions or related business area
- Collaborative management style, responsive, considerate, flexible, assertive and personable
- Experience in developing and mentoring people
- Strong leadership skills
- Program and project management experience
- Budget management experience
- Solid presentation skills

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Prior experience in scientific or regulatory areas such as Medical Education, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development & Regulatory Affairs
- Knowledge of external practice, regulations and guidelines
- Experience with internal/external audit
