The OLX Group’s Strategy team is looking for a resourceful analytical thinker to join the team as an Intern. This is an excellent opportunity to explore or kick-start a career in the ever evolving world of online classifieds and marketplaces, starting from a position with a central view on the business.

**You Will Be**:

- Supporting the strategy team in areas such as market sizing, competitive analysis, product analysis and benchmarking
- Working with peers on setting up lean and automated data processes for market intelligence
- Researching, contextualising and analysing data from available sources and the web, as part of either focused deep-dives, or macro-trends analysis
- Delving into the world of online classifieds & marketplaces

**About You**:

- You go beyond superficial understanding of technical and business concepts, you strive to make them explainable and link them to real-world examples
- Detail-oriented and willingness to search for the “hidden” pieces of information in many different sources (company reports, news, etc..)
- You understand the language of analysts and engineers. Most of the time you will be dealing with data, databases, metrics, models, dashboards, pipelines
- You are great at deriving and easily communicating complex insights in logical, relatable stepsUnderstand in most parts common web concepts such as APIs, web crawling, cookies, event tracking, etc.
- Comfortable writing analytical queries in SQLComfortable with spreadsheets
- Some exposure to business and financial KPIs and can make derive meaning from them
- Proficient in English
- Ideally with experience working in cross-cultural / international environments

Skills that will be very useful if you have them:

- Build metrics/dashboards in Tableau or other tools
- Wrangle data in Python/Pandas/R, Manipulate data via Regular Expressions
- Call and store data from APIsWrite and manage simple ETLs
- You understand the language of business analysis in the context of market and competitive intelligence: TAM, competitive edge, financials, funding and valuation, funnel metrics
