Damia Portugal is now looking for a People & Culture Assistant, to be able to assist the People and Culture Manager in most of the HR duties.

**Requirements**:

- HR-related degree and at least 6 months of work experience in HR;
- An understanding of some HR processes;
- Basic knowledge of labor laws;
- Good MS Office skills;
- Good written and spoken the English language.

**About you**:

- You define yourself as a people person
- You don’t need anyone to say “clean this mess up” because you’re super organized
- Dynamic is your middle name
- You are curious and starving to learn

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties;
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the company employees;
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies);
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance reviews, etc);
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations;
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc);
- Add new employees’ information to the company’s HR system;
- Communicate with public services when necessary;
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures;
- Conduct orientation to newly hired employees;
- Assist with the engagement (events, HR initiatives, team buildings) preparation;
- Assist in the training process by helping schedule training between the employee and the supplier.
- Assist in the whole recruitment and onboarding lifecycle of an employee.
