**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
**Essential Qualifications/Experience**:

- University degree or equivalent level of qualification in information systems
- Demonstrate general up-to-date knowledge on LAN management, configuration and troubleshooting
- General background knowledge of cybersecurity controls (architecture and operations)
- Have knowledge in recent versions of VMWare vSphere and/or VMWare NSX
- Demonstrate general background in engineering and maintenance of communications and information systems
- Have experience as staff member in an information technology (IT) appointment with provision of customer support
- Hold industry recognized certifications in Networking technologies (Switching and Routing)

**Desirable Qualifications/Experience**:

- College degree in Computer Sciences or similar
- Industry recognized certifications in any of the following areas: Datacenter Virtualization, Network Virtualization, Systems Administration (Windows)
- Have formal training or practical experience in recent versions of VMWare vSphere and/or VMWare NSX and/or VMWare vRealize Automation
- Demonstrate recent experience in the implementation, troubleshooting, support and maintenance of Software Defined Datacentres
- Demonstrate general up-to-date knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, computer system Hardware, and client/server architectures
- Experience in a structured and workflow-driven service provision organization
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian staff

**DUTIES/ROLE**
- Provide system management and operational support for all IT systems assigned to the Academy Learning Environment
- Support effective provisioning, installation/configuration and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, for the NCI Academy
- Support Software Defined Datacenter connectivity requirements as part of the process implemented for the delivery of training environments from training infrastructure
- Support the implementation of processes, procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of Academy Learning Environment systems and services in support of agreed service levels
- Maintain backups using established processes and policies
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge at system and sub-system level of the NCI Academy's CIS infrastructure, with an emphasis on system architecture, integration, security, build and verification aspects
- Ensure the final implementation of the Academy active network and the alignment with the building's passive network infrastructure and CIS assets, in order to ensure a consolidated and resilient IT infrastructure coherent with the CTO's architectural direction and guidance
- Support the implementation of the Academy's CIS configuration management
- Perform other IT related duties as may be required
