**ELMAC Meetings Manager**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

The LACAN Meetings Manager will be responsible for managing the strategic meetings management program for Amgen in the LACAN (Latin America and Canada) region (5 affiliates.)

Responsibilities will include:

- Manage the strategic meetings management program (operations) for Amgen in the LACAN region (5 affiliates - Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Mexico) as well as support other ELMAC countries as needed.
- Deliver best practice process support for the delivery of all non-congress events (including full logistics support inc. registration, data, and finance)
- Manage compliance to Global Meetings Policy in LACAN
- Manage regional budget and data reporting management, data integrity & validation of savings, QBR’s & KPI’s
- Support Agency management for LACAN (and as needed for other ELMAC countries)
- Work with Global & ELMAC GMM Leadership to develop and implement strategy
- Ensure Cvent technology is in place for all ELMAC meetings, with focus on LACAN

**WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU**

Proven experience and skills needed:

- Bachelor's degree in project management, meetings & events, communication, liberal arts, or the equivalent education and experience
- Successful track record in meeting management, supplier management, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving
- Ability to present complex data to diverse groups
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change with little advance notice
- Excellent technology skills: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Cvent (Workday and SAP a +)
- Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, both written and verbal communication
- Able to work under flexible working hours
- Willing to travel 15%

Preferred Requirements:

- Working knowledge and expertise in Strategic Meeting Management
- Working knowledge of meetings operating environment (hotel sourcing, negotiating, contracting, operations, reconciliation)
- Working knowledge of compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines related to interactions with health care professionals
- Fluency or understanding of other European Languages
