**What you will learn and contribute to**

The Applied R&D Engineer, using his/her/their technical knowledge, must be driven to get things done by being able to motivate and lead technical contributors across different organizations and business units, also being able to solve problems and take new challenges in the Telco domain.

**As part of our team, you will**:

- Performing research, implementation and testing on new product features, technology, and solution concepts.
- Developing advanced automation (e.g. CI/CD) solutions for platform deployment for complex distributed systems.
- Developing new solutions and redesign existing solutions.
- Analyzing internal and external business challenges in order to recommend best practices to improve products, processes and services.
- Retaining technical and design knowledge for assigned products and technologies in real customer scenarios.

**Your skills and experience**

**You have**:

- Technology, engineering or related University Degree or student (MSc or BSc), and 2- 4years knowledge and experience in software development, architecture, design and related processes and tools.
- Deep technical knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas: software development, applied data analysis, deep / machine learning, security, cloud computing, decentralized systems, Agile and continuous delivery methodologies.
- Fluent spoken and written English.

**It would be nice if you also had**:

- Good knowledge of virtualisation and container concepts: Docker; Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge of IT concepts associated with the deployment of modern networks: BigData and distributed processing (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark); Cloud native software concepts (micro-services architecture).
- Knowledge of IT concepts associated with the software development tools: Git and CI/CD pipelines; Software analysis and design methodologies; Software quality and security enforcement.
