Your new company:
Our client is a Shared Services Center located in Lisbon.

Your new role:
Reporting directly to the Shared Services Center Manager, you will lead the General Ledger team (3 - 8), ensuring the performance of accounting and treasury tasks to the subsidiaries working with SSC Portugal. You will be responsible for month and annual closing of the Company - accounting, treasury, tax, statutory.
- Drive transfer of activities from international legal entities into the service organization;
- Train new employees and review processes with existing team members;
- Update process documentations as required;
- Monitor activity KPIs, identify improvements and implement action plans;
- Identify and implement improvement processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and productivity;
- Control and book specific general ledger entries;
- Control SAP interfaces;
- Monitor bank transfers (Kyriba) and supervision of the bank reconciliations;
- Specific month closing tasks of General Ledger and Reporting;
- Drive the resolution of more complex queries raised by the team and other internal and external stakeholders;
- Work closely with the transversal departments: Corporate, Subsidiaries and internal departments;
- Perform the accounting month closing of the Company and treasury forecast;
- Perform the tax and other legal declarations of the Company;
- Perform the year closing and local statutory reporting.

What you'll need to succeed:
Graduated from finance business administration / accounting degree or similar;
At least 5 years’ experience in a multicultural environment;
Experience within a shared service environment would be a plus;
Experience in people management; Strong knowledge in finance, accounting, treasury, tax and IFRS standards; IT Skills: SAP (mandatory), Kyriba and BFC (appreciated);
Fluent in English and French is a plus.
