We’re looking for a **kitchen-savvy, food-loving team member** to join our café team in a **dual role** as a **cook and barista assistant**. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and enjoys the calm rhythm of a small team and cozy workspace.

You’ll be responsible for **preparing our signature brunch-style ingredients** (no meat, no heavy cooking) and assisting with **drink-making and service**. Food prep takes place during the quieter hours, while the rest of the shift supports café service and closing.

**Responsibilities**:
**Kitchen & Prep Duties (3-4 times/week)**:

- Prep and cook food components: boil eggs, bake vegetables, pickle, chop, and portion
- Ensure food quality, labeling, storage, and hygiene standards
- Track prep stock levels and and order supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work area and tools

**Barista & Service Support**:

- Make coffee, tea, and cold drinks
- Assemble light brunch-style meals from prepped items
- Assist with afternoon service, cleaning, and closing duties

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a **kitchen, prep cook, or food service role**:

- Passion for **clean, simple, and fresh food**:

- High standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization
- Comfortable working **independently** in a small space
- Able to manage time efficiently and follow simple SOPs
- Friendly and reliable with strong communication skills
- Bonus: Experience with **specialty coffee or barista work** (training can be provided)
