Role Description

There is a requirement for a Business Analysts/Data Analyst to join the Reporting and Analytics CoE to provide insights and maximise the business value from Kantar’s data.

The role will own multiple of these processes and ensure that business users have the necessary reports and tools to fulfil their step of the process.

The Analyst must be a proactive professional, problem-solving oriented, good team player, and available to face a challenging fast-paced environment.

The Business Analyst/Data Analyst will be required to execute the following responsibilities:

- Support Kantar stakeholders to understand, review and prioritize reporting requirements that underpin the signed off global processes for Finance, HR and Procurement.
- Understand the business challenges and identify data-driven business insights with effective presentation of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders.

Leverage data to increase the efficiency by working closely with the business teams to drive optimization.
- Support the Data Insights team on understanding transactional data for performance management, variance analysis and ad-hoc queries from senior management.
- Translate new requirements into the relevant functional specifications for technical teams to design, build and test reports using the most appropriate solution.
- Support the Business Systems Reporting Lead in meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of KBS performance and delivery.
- Understand business systems methodologies to create new business analytics that help drive business conclusions, continually improving reporting and analysis processes.

Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting, analysis, and research (data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation)
- Support the KBS Reporting and Analytics lead in the stabilization and growth of KBS Reporting & Analytics CoE, including the on-going transition of additional services into KBS and the development of internal capabilities within the wider organization.

Role Requirements
- Degree level education in Business Administration/Finance/Management/Economy/ Mathematic or equivalent.
- Good understanding of business processes
- Deep understanding of at least one of the following:

- ERP Reporting Platforms (SAP, Oracle, IFS)
- HR (Workday, Peoplesoft)
- Procurement Business Systems (Coupa)
- Awareness of Analytical and Visualisation tools ( Qlikview, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or Business Objects)
- Budgeting and Financial Consolidation Solutions (Onestream, SAP BPC, Anaplan, Hyperion HFM)
- Good report writing skills with native ERP and Business Systems report writing tools and BI Applications such as Business Objects, Oracle BI or Cognos.
- Advanced Excel user, power query and power pivots
- Has worked as part of a team involved in the month end close process and is diligent in meeting the required deadlines for this
- Proven experience succeeding in complex, matrix and cross functional projects with the ability to inspire and influence across the organisation
- Fluent English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management

Nice to have
- Cloud Analytical Platforms (Azure SQL, GCP, AWS Redshift)
- Knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, Python or R
- Experience working within a cross functional Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
