**THE JOB**
The **Controlling & Compliance team** in Porto is looking for a new **GL & Tax Senior Accountant**. Here are your new responsibilities:

- Perform period end activities, such as Journal entries and month-end for AP and GL (General Ledger) areas.
- Process fixed asset and inventory accounting.
- Perform, review and control accruals and provisions.
- Control and report business activities and support business growth and development by providing top quality information to senior management and corporate.
- Review and be able to explain in depth P&L and BS and respective variances vs objectives.
- Execution of Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensure company’s accounting records accurately reflect company’s liabilities.
- Support in the preparation of financial statements and tax declarations.
- Preparation of external and external Audit requests.
- Report monthly, quarter and annual financial statements at a regional and group level.
- Interface between the external tax advisors, regional finance department and Lectra Corporate.
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain information about transactions and research unreconciled items.

**THE PROFILE WE ARE SEEKING**
You must have:

- Degree in Accounting, Management or Economics
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar position
- Relevant experience with accounts in multiple European countries
- Knowledge of SAP or Oracle
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IFRS
- Fluency+ in English

The mission of the new GL & Tax Senior Accountant is to support all day-to-day activities of the team, control and report on business activities and deviations, maintain the accounting records for the assigned countries, as well as comply with all internal and external reporting requirements and deadlines.
