Kantar is a data and evidence-based agency providing insights and practical recommendations to clients, worldwide. We have a complete, outstanding, and rounded understanding of people around the world: how they think, feel and act, globally and locally in over 90 markets.

As part of Kantar’s Technology division, this role will work alongside the hosting BAU and investment programmes with focus on public and private cloud and primary and secondary storage solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Work on projects with high strategic impact, setting standards that can be used in the long term and across the breadth of the organisation.
- Work with the business-as-usual service to optimise and stabilise our environment.
- Ensure projects are aligned to the strategy and establish the require operating standards.
- Recommend designs for several projects or technologies, up to an organisational or inter-organisational level.
- Identify solution design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or improvements.
- Collaborate with business teams to ensure deployed solutions/configurations are deployed in line with strategy.

Capabilities and experience

As part of the wider Technology leadership team, the person will need be able to navigate a complex, relationship driven, environment that is undergoing a period of transformation.
- A deep technical and hands on requirement across a multitude of technologies with focus on:

- Private cloud solutions like Nutanix and VMware
- Public Cloud solutions including Azure and AWS
- Primary and secondary storage solutions such as NetApp and Rubrik
- A good understanding of networks and firewalls and how they affect hosting.
- Including experience with Cyber Security
- Automation tooling for Blueprinting and Management like Ansible
- Experience of producing solution designs and documentation suitable for operational hand over
- Ability to forge relationships in a constructive and supportive manner.
- Adopts the development and fulfilment of overall Kantar strategy and actively supports and contributes to it.
- Leads shorter term requirements within the context of longer-term critical thinking.
- Understands associated risks and implications, exercises good judgement and confidence in taking action. Wins support for decisions.
