At Malwarebytes, as our business grows, so does our data and business analytics need. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated data analyst to get us insights into our overall business, from retention and monetization, pricing and discounting, product adoption and migration tracking. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in Malwarebytes’s data-driven decision-making processes. You will provide business insights to leadership leveraging your key business dashboards and associated reports. These will help guide the executive team in making product decisions that increase business opportunities and growth.
We want an experienced analyst to help develop dashboard and reports, aimed at improving our product adoption, conversion and retention, and tracking pricing and discounts across the entire business. You are a full-stack data powerhouse who is experienced in driving business decisions throughout the product lifecycle using data and experimentation. You will join an experienced team of leaders, product managers, and data analysts in driving business growth.
You will have experience in measuring the effectiveness of a SaaS business, tracking sales and marketing data, matching it up against product adoption and conversion. You will understand classic financial metrics of GRR, NRR, ASP, Average Discounting, Conversion Rates, etc. You will be comfortable in various data sources, from Product Data to Sales Data. You will be a consummate professional in delivering dashboards and reports in various visualization tools.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Deliver dashboards and reports related to Monetization and Growth. This could be Pricing Dashboards, Product Adoption / Conversion, Retention / Renewal Tracking
- Deliver insights to help guide business decision making
- Interact with business and operational leadership in ensuring the usefulness of the insights, dashboard and reports
- Partner with Product, Finance, Sales, and Marketing in ensuring quality of dashboards and reports
**Skills You’ll Need to Have**:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Mathematics (or similar)
- Advanced level of SQL skills with at least 3 years of advanced “hands-on” experience
- Experience articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets (SQL) and using statistics to arrive at an answer
- 3+ years of working experience with statistical packages in R or Python
- Demonstrated work experience with at least one BI tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong passion for quality
- Proven experience in providing meaningful business dashboards
- A focus on impact: balance effort to value, and “get things done”
- Curious, creative, and opinionated thinker with a talent for detecting patterns and elevating through strategy
- Communication and presentation skills with proven track record of using insights to influence executives and colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen working with multiple sources of data
- Strong cross-functional partner
- Ability to think through complex problems, determine proper analytical processes and procedures, independently derive conclusions and present results to the team
- Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
- Great storytelling with great data visualization and presentation skills
- Experience working in Tech companies or tech environment is highly desirable
