**About the Position**:
The Fintech House is the must go hub for fintechs in Lisbon as an initiative of Portugal Fintech,a startup centric association committed to creating the best conditions for the development of the Fintech ecosystem.

We’re looking for a Marketing & Events Intern to implement and manage key strategic and operational initiatives at Portugal Fintech in relation to its network of startups, incumbents, investors, academia, partners, and other relevant stakeholders in the Fintech industry. We’re looking for someone who can engage with the community and support its growth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handling the operations of different initiatives and managing events.
- Communicating with the startups to understand their needs and reaching out to companies and individuals that can help with these.
- Support the marketing manager in devise and implement marketing strategies.
- Working closely with the startups and The Fintech House partners to foster initiatives that work to benefit the community.

**What you will gain**:

- Ability to interact with many different business areas, from contacting investors, being in touch with startup founders, and coordinating events and projects with partners.
- Leadership skills through coordinating marketing strategies.
- Hands-on experience being able to interact with multiple innovative startups from the outside.
- Seeing a tangible effect of your support on the startups.
- Teamwork skills through working with experts in their field.
- Knowledge in the hot topic fintech and tech field

**Experience and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience;
- Passion for startups and for technology and exposure to entrepreneurial ecosystem, ideally to Fintech;
- Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible with an ability to handle a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with multiple simultaneous projects;
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, both in Portuguese and English;
- Strongly predisposed to take initiative, execute effectively and get things done autonomously;
- Creative thinker who is results and goal-oriented;
- Excellent communication skills and creative problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge on digital platforms like: Eventbrite, Wix is a plus;
Possibility of IEFP internship.
