**The Role**
As a Head of Technology for the Sportsbook Risk & Trading Technology organisation, you’ll be working closely with your partners to prioritise, create and own roadmaps for your Engineering teams to work from. You’ll be working with your technology teams across different locations and time zones to create a vision for your area of responsibility.
You’ll promote a culture of openness and clear feedback. You’ll enable your teams to deliver high quality, scalable software and emphasize a focus on Operational Excellence. Working closely with other Heads within FanDuel, you’ll help solve cross-vertical problems by designing and developing capabilities that fulfil overlapping needs.
Specifically, you will be leading the senior leaders focused on our Risk Management and Catalogue / Pricing Distribution functions, supporting sophisticated risk tooling and content distribution workflows, while collaborating on the roadmap and working with other senior Sportsbook stakeholders and technology leaders to ensure end to end capabilities are realised.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
Delivery:
- Develop with other heads cross domain and sub-domain strategies to reduce bottlenecks and inefficiencies while promoting collaboration
- Produce and deliver a strategic, technical vision while identifying gaps in ownership and negotiating who’ll own them going forward
- Define and deliver area strategy/vision for our next 2 years
- Engage with colleagues inside and outside technology and with different ways of working to ensure that complex and cross-functional initiatives are delivered, dependencies are managed and continuous improvement is prioritised.
- Responsible for ensuring effective operational support in conjunction with all partners integrated with our Service Operations support organisation and customer support
Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with commercial, risk and product stakeholders to build and balance backlogs as well as roadmaps for our products
- Collaborating with Tech Strategy and Principal partners within Sportsbook to ensure architecturally appropriate solutions are delivered
- Manage a significant budget (in terms of finance & people) and it will be expected to find the best synergies and optimize the efficiency of your teams.
- Collaborating with Flutter Group divisions on large strategic initiatives that exceed FanDuel scope, including but not limited to GBP Evolution and Global Risk initiatives
People:
- Attract the best talent into the tribe;
- Assure that our talent is continuously developed, motivated, and engaged, ensuring that high performers are continuously challenged and provided with new opportunities, and poor performers are managed up or out;
- Responsible for championing every success from the Tribe;
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Technology teams and evolve our agile/scrum delivery processes.
