Senior Engineering Ops Manager

**About the Role**:
**Reports to: Director of R&D Ops**

We are hiring a **Senior Engineering Operations Manager** to drive operational excellence across Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD). Reporting to the Director of R&D Operations, you will play a critical role in scaling our delivery capabilitiessystems, planning and executionAgile practices, and DevOps culture across a growing organization of 40+ cross-functional teams.

You will build the structures, rituals, and enablement programs that allow innovation to thrive while ensuring our teams deliver impactful, customer-centric solutions with high quality, autonomy, and speed.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on role where you'll work closely with senior engineering and product leaders to shape how we operate and grow.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Delivery and Program Operations**:

- Coordinate and support complex cross-functional programs across multiple engineering, product, and design teams, ensuring efficiency, visibility, and timely outcomes.
- Embed DevOps principles and continuous delivery practices into how we plan, build, and ship software.
- Identify and remove bottlenecks in our delivery pipelines, improving speed to market without sacrificing quality.
- Build and maintain scalable frameworks for operational reviews, release readiness, and quarterly/annual planning.

**Agile and DevOps Practices**:

- Champion Agile delivery practices across EPD, coaching teams and leaders to drive iterative delivery, customer focus, and technical excellence.
- Foster a DevOps-first culture focused on automation, resilience, observability, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate training, workshops, and communities of practice to uplift Agile and DevOps maturity across teams.

**Systems, Tooling & Metrics**:

- Evaluate, implement, and evolve tooling that enhances team collaboration, operational visibility, and reporting (e.g., Jira, Confluence, CI/CD platforms, observability tools).
- Partner with the Director of R&D Ops to define KPIs and delivery health metrics (time to market, incident rate, team health, velocity, operational quality).
- Maintain centralized knowledge resources to share best practices, onboarding guides, and operational documentation.

**Operational Excellence**:

- Lead initiatives to optimize planning cycles, release processes, incident management, and postmortem practices across R&D.
- Support the scaling of the EPD operating model as the organization grows in size, scope, and complexity.
- Drive a culture of shared ownership, transparency, and continuous learning across Engineering, Product, and Design.

**What We're Looking For**:
**Must-Haves**:

- 7+ years of experience in engineering operations, program management, DevOps enablement, or similar roles in a tech-driven environment.
- Proven success coordinating complex cross-functional delivery programs with structured execution and stakeholder alignment.
- Hands-on experience evolving Agile practices and DevOps operating models within growing product organizations.
- Systems thinker who can design, scale, and optimize workflows across large, interconnected teams.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills—able to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High empathy for internal users (engineers, PMs, designers) and a focus on customer impact.
- Practical experience with delivery tooling and DevOps enablement platforms (Jira, GitOps, monitoring, CI/CD systems).
- Experience with knowledge management, internal enablement programs, or operational excellence initiatives at scale.

**Nice to Haves**:

- Certifications in Agile, Program Management, or DevOps (e.g., LeSS, CSM, DASA DevOps Leader, etc).
