As the ESG Lead at OLX, you play a crucial role in **helping the company fulfill its purpose** of building a more sustainable world through trade. Your role is instrumental in **executing our ESG strategy**, coordinating efforts within OLX to **drive various social and environmental programs**, building internal and external **ambassador programs**, and coordinating our **reporting**efforts**.This full-time role is based in **Amsterdam, South Africa, Portugal, Poland or Romania**.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Drive the execution of the ESG strategy across OLX.
- Collaborate with the sustainability team at Prosus to leverage each other’s programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate and support local OLX teams to implement Environmental and Social projects in different markets.
- Manage our Environmental program, including the collection of greenhouse gas emissions across all OLX businesses and markets.
- Lead our thought leadership program on the Circular Economy.
- Coordinate all company efforts on regulation reporting, acting as the link between OLX and Prosus.
- Develop and implement employee activation programs to engage our employees in sustainability initiatives.
- Evangelize sustainability across our company through trainings and workshops.
- Work with third parties such as consultancies, auditors, and communication agencies to ensure our success.

**Skills and experience**:

- Demonstrated work experience leading ESG/Sustainability topics or programs.
- In-depth understanding of material ESG topics that can drive better business outcomes.
- Knowledge of sustainable development as a strategic asset to drive business growth.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Self-driven and proactive work style.
- Ability to work across a complex set of stakeholders without formal authority (understands how to influence).
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse cultures.
- Strong project and program management, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment and is a self-starter.
- Preferred educational background: Bachelor's degree or technical education in Science or a related discipline.
