**Company Description**:
The Universal Group has been developing several projects related to renewable energies and is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our team in the Portuguese office. You will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, analysing data, and ensuring adherence to accounting principles. Join our team and make a significant impact on our continued success.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for managing the accounting operations of a group of companies within an international organisation, including financial transactions, payroll processing, reconciliations, and more;
- Supervising the accounting team and ensuring compliance with all tax and legal requirements.
- Assuring all necessary legal and tax reports.
- Developing and implementing accounting policies and processes to ensure adherence to accounting standards.
- Conducting ad-hoc financial analyses to support management decision-making.
- Collaborating with international counterparts to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Managing monthly and annual financial closings.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Degree in Accounting and registered as a Certified Chartered Accountant in OCC.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Experience in using the Odoo ERP system (accounting module), will be a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisation and time management abilities.
