- The IT System Specialist Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that the System Specialist Team operates and maintains systems and troubleshoots incidents. You advise the team in order for them to deliver the highest level of service by managing prioritization and escalations along with technical guidance.**ROLE CONTRIBUTION**
- To support, govern and contribute to a fully integrated and aligned Group IT Strategy across the SBM organization, you are to:
- Liaise, work together with and advise your IT colleagues across different sites and disciplines
- Enforce the processes and best practices necessary for the team to work according to the procedures and work instructions.
- Work with IT Enterprise Architecture to make suggestions for improvement when applicable.
- Ensure the team maintains quality and accurate information of systems assets in the CMDB
- Identify areas requiring more detailed instructions and improve or correct such documentation in coordination with other System Specialists and the IT Knowledge Manager.
- Work with the Network and Software team in solving cross-discipline complex problems;
- Follow Incident Management Procedures and ITSM Procedures.
- Communicate/escalate in timely manner recurring issues and problems to Support Manager
- In order to ensure knowledge sharing and creating awareness amongst the IT community on your respective specialism, you are to:
- Keep the IT community informed on any new initiatives and decisions taken that might have an impact on day-to-day business;
- Ensure a cross-functional alignment to minimize downtime within the overall IT landscape.
- Maintain synchronization with all other Systems specialists located in other locations.
- In order to ensure that you understand and manage your stakeholders and their requirements as well as having assigned activities completed successfully, you are to:
- Ensure the team understands, plans and delivers assigned tasks with accuracy to meet stakeholders needs in a timely manner;
- Ensure the team completes tasks in compliance with applicable standards and work procedures;
- Have the team perform thorough self-checks of all solutions prior to release for use.
- Properly plan work to allow adequate time for user feedback and adjustments to ensure intended functionality;
- Network with stakeholders to serve as a source of support in executing a project
- Manage the team to maintain consistent/organized instructions in the standard format to convey required information to stakeholders
- Contribute to weekly or monthly reports
- Ensure the team adheres to Change Management and other policies.
- Ensure the team maintains skillset with training as needed to fulfill the responsibilities.
- Ensure that systems are within support by maintaining proper lifecycle guideline
- Ensure the team stays aware of any alerts and thresholds to ensure system stability, capacity requirements and Disaster Recovery requirements
- Monitor server and related system patch and update status.
- Monitor the malware protection status of the systems.
- Ensure that systems are properly backed up.
- Ensure that all evidence needed for audits are properly submitted.

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 10 years experience in combined System Support and Infrastructure.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English fluently.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Windows Server.
- Working experience in Microsoft Azure, Teams, OneDrive, Endpoint Management.
- Possessing some experience in Docker or Kubernetes will be an added advantage.
- Working experience in OS or network security in cloud environment will be added advantage.
