**Job Title**: Project Manager - Data Center Operations

**Location**: Lisbon, Portugal

**Job Type**: Full-Time / Contract

**About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced **Technical Project Manager** to lead large-scale data center mobilization and operational delivery across the EMEA region. This role demands deep technical expertise in **Hot Aisle / Cold Aisle containment strategies**, **critical power infrastructure**, and **MEP systems**, ensuring the successful commissioning and handover of Tier III/IV data centers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery of data center builds, expansions, and retrofits with a focus on thermal and power systems.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and operational readiness of **Hot Aisle / Cold Aisle containment** strategies to maximize efficiency and uptime.
- Manage installation, commissioning, and integration of **HV/LV electrical systems**, **UPS**, **generators**, **CRAC units**, and **PDUs**.
- Act as client representative, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, Uptime Tier requirements, and CDM 2015 regulations.
- Supervise principal contractors and subcontractors during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Review technical submittals and commissioning scripts, approve change control documentation and cost proposals.
- Ensure proper operation of critical systems including BMS, leak detection, fire suppression, and access control.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and safety compliance; prepare executive-level progress reports and KPIs.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP or electrical project management with a strong focus on **data center infrastructure**.
- Proven expertise in managing **Hot Aisle/Cold Aisle containment environments** and optimizing airflow and cooling performance.
- Deep knowledge of **critical power systems**, including **switchgear, UPS, diesel generators**, and **HV/LV distribution networks**.
- High Voltage Authorised Person (SAP) certification is required.
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute standards (Tier III/IV), ISO best practices, and commissioning protocols.
- Experience working with hyperscale data center clients in the UK, Europe, or the Middle East.
- Strong command of health and safety standards, including SMSTS, IOSH, and BS7671 (18th Edition).

**Preferred Attributes**
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with clients, design consultants, and construction teams.
- Proficient in documentation review, cost validation, and vendor performance management.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-border project teams.
