Main purpose of the role

As the primary overseer of quality for R&D programs in a new technology environment, the Release Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the programs adhere to high quality standards and that their processes are constantly adapted and improved as needed. In this role, they serve as the primary point of contact for Release Managers on all matters related to quality. Additionally, the Release Quality Manager provides support to Product Lines in implementing the INFN quality system, methods, and approaches, and monitors cross-functional program quality to drive internal efficiency, customer satisfaction, and loyalty.

Reporting directly to the Global Quality Director for R&D and Product Management, the Release Quality Manager plays a critical role in maintaining high levels of quality across R&D programs.

Purpose of the Role:

- Responsible for quality and processes on release level
- Counterpart of release manager related to process and quality issues
- Continuously monitors cross-functional program quality to secure customer satisfaction

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Program has optimum product processes/methods in place (incl. Service, Supply Chain, M&S processes) and adequately supported and deployed
- Develop program Quality Plan for each program release (inc. Q Targets; Tailoring; Review plan; Metrics; Quality Criteria for milestones; PQM audits plan; Continual Improvement methods)
- Program metrics and target setting on program level
- Quality assurance/reporting on program level
- Drive improvements for the product line organizing Initiate, execute and monitor quality improvements on program level and follow up of improvement actions.
- Reactive and proactive improvements and corrective actions under control (source: ext. & int., e.g. lessons learnt)
- Milestone/Q-Gate readiness check
- Review Quality Criteria achievement at milestones and countersign milestone declaration as PMT member:

- Supports program risk management and cross functional transparency

Qualification Requirements:

- Study of Electrics & Electronics
- Min 5 yrs operational work in HW / SW development positions
- Understands major development processes and phases
- Quality & audit experience
- Basic knowledge of ISO / TL 9k standards
- Business-fluent English is pre-requisite
- Intercultural background
