kencko is seeking a freelance or full-time **Demand Planning / Forecast Individual Contributor** to join our Business Intelligence team. **Location **Portugal, remote **Main goals** You will provide key insights and projections to inform decision-making across multiple business units. Your main responsibilities will be to develop, refine, and present item-level sales forecasts, evaluate and monitor forecast accuracy, and develop the forecasting roadmap as the company grows and evolves. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive business growth, working with large datasets from our retail and D2C channels to understand trends, forecast demand, and ultimately help kencko deliver the right products at the right time to our customers. **Essential Experience** - Proven experience leading retail CPG demand planning. - Strong proficiency in SQL; - Experience with Python and DBT is advantageous. - Experience in working with D2C and retail data; familiarity with US market dynamics is an advantage. - Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable plans. - Effective communicator with experience working cross-functionally to drive results. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage the forecasting roadmap and progression, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities. - Own forecast reporting, providing timely and insightful updates to key stakeholders. - Develop and refine statistical demand forecasts, leveraging historical data, market trends, and retailer feedback. - Drive the demand planning process, working cross-functionally to ensure consensus between different departments. - Build, maintain, and improve SQL models to extract and manipulate data for accurate forecasting. - Develop tools and dashboards within our BI platform to support real-time data analysis and forecasting. - Ensure continuous improvement of forecasting methods and accuracy, leveraging best practices and innovative data science approaches.
