As a Business Controller at Optiply you will oversee a business's day-to-day financial operations. This person will be the main contact person in the company for all accounting matters and provides technical accounting advice to maximize the firm's value and minimize risk and supports key management decisions through financial planning and analysis. You will be based in Portugal office and report directly to our CEO and CTO.
**This is what you'll be doing**
- Oversee business control, planning and management reporting.
- Manage and monitor financial control systems.
- Provide financial views for business plans and process development.
- Review, analyze and improve costs for cost efficiency.
- Support all business units with insights to make informed decisions to achieving the company's objectives.
- Forecasting of Cash, P&L, and Balance Sheet
- Experience with Financial Modeling
- Invoicing of clients.
- Salaries
- Reporting to IRS such as VAT, and EU sales without VAT

**This is who we’re looking for**
- Bachelor or Master in Management, Economics or Finance
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role required preferred but not mandatory;
- Business-oriented mindset
- Experience of working within a high growth technology company (SaaS / subscription model is preferable)
- Experience and interest in the use of data analytics tools, IT systems and technology.
- Results-driven with attention to detail, being autonomous and responsible for deliverables
- You speak flawless English and Portuguese
